Gaviscon Double Action Liquid brings fast, soothing and long-lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion. It gets to work in two different ways: 1) Neutralizing excess stomach acid to relieve pain and discomfort 2) Forming a protective barrier over the stomach contents to soothe the burning pain in your chest So, whatever your symptoms of heartburn or indigestion, Gaviscon Double Action can provide fast soothing relief. Active ingredients:


  • Sodium alginate — 500 mg (forms a protective “barrier” on stomach contents to help stop acid reflux)

  • Sodium bicarbonate — 213 mg (neutralises excess stomach acid)

  • Calcium carbonate — 325 mg (neutralises stomach acid and soothes irritation

  • Shake the bottle well before each use.

Adults & children aged 12 and over:


  • Take 10–20 ml (usually 2–4 spoonfuls of 5 ml) after meals and at bedtime.

  • You can take this up to 4 times a day.

Children under 12 years:


  • Only use on medical advice.
